Written summary

Carlton Court: a practical look at the upgrade

Tour Carlton Court in Surrey, where WeTech replaced traditional keys, an audio-only wired intercom and Linear gate remotes with Akuvox video entry, smart resident access and hands-free UHF parkade access.

Carlton Court previously relied on traditional metal keys and an audio-only wired intercom with a paper directory for building entry, while residents pressed Linear remotes at the overhead vehicle gate. WeTech upgraded the property with Akuvox video intercoms and an integrated access-control plan designed around visitor, resident, delivery and parkade movement.

The completed system supports live visitor video, remote entrance release, landline and cellphone calling, and up to four configured mobile-app users per unit. Approved resident entry options shown in the walkthrough include RFID fobs, BLE, NFC, PIN, app unlock and configured facial recognition. Time-limited PIN and QR credentials can also be issued for approved visitors and deliveries.

The walkthrough follows the access path into the parkade, including controlled entry at the elevator lobby, a gate video intercom and a long-range UHF reader that recognizes authorized windshield credentials. This replaces the everyday need to press a Linear remote as a vehicle approaches. An interior free-exit sensor completes the workflow by opening the gate for departing residents.
