Before the upgrade

The starting point

Cotton Ridge relied on an older NSL/Sentex audio-only entrance system. Visitor entry did not provide live video verification, and building-door and vehicle-gate access depended on separate legacy workflows.

What WeTech installed

The security upgrade

WeTech replaced the old audio panel with an Akuvox video intercom and expanded access control throughout the building. Residents received a two-in-one credential for building doors and the vehicle gate, with additional Face ID-style facial access, BLE, NFC, RFID and SmartPlus app unlocking. A long-range UHF reader was also installed for convenient vehicle entry.

After the upgrade

The operating outcome

Visitors can now place video calls and residents can see, speak with and release approved guests from the app. Residents have multiple ways to enter, including the two-in-one physical credential, BLE, NFC, RFID, consent-based facial access and mobile unlock; UHF windshield credentials support hands-free gate entry, while compatible existing gate remotes remain functional.
