What this means for your property
Existing fobs can be retained only when their technology, credential format and security characteristics suit the new readers and management system. Matching appearance is not enough: two similar fobs can contain different technologies or identifiers. WeTech reviews the current credentials and available database before recommending retention, a temporary migration period or newly issued credentials.
The transition should also define how residents enter while work is underway and how lost or former-resident access is removed. Keeping physical fob access is a separate decision from keeping every existing fob. A new system can offer physical credentials alongside mobile access even when the old credentials need to be replaced.

Identify the credential
Provide an authorized sample and available system details so technology and format can be checked.
Review the database
Confirm resident assignments, former users and whether each credential can be independently managed.
Plan enrollment and cutover
Explain when new credentials are issued, which entrances accept them and when old permissions will end.
