The Dorchester project shows how an older strata can add video visitor verification and smartphone access while retaining fobs, keys, conventional calling and existing gate remotes for residents who prefer familiar options.
The retrofit decision
The building’s older key, fob and audio-intercom arrangement could not show residents who was calling or let them manage approved visitors while away. WeTech installed two video intercoms and modern access control around a mixed resident workflow rather than making the project smartphone-only.
What the finished scope demonstrates
Residents gained live visitor video, remote release and temporary visitor options, while conventional access remained available. The matching walkthrough and customer testimonial document the resident-facing outcome after the installation.
